I’ve helped these clients discover local authentic Kyoto:

“Before the tour, I was super overwhelmed by Kyoto and navigating around, trying to hit all the landmarks without getting lost. He speaks both English and Japanese and could translate when needed, making the experience more authentic.
Didn’t expect to spend time at the Zen temple, just talking about tea ceremony and had no idea it was similar to a martial art. Greg gave me a great explanation about how it all works and being in such a small tour, I was able to ask the questions I wanted.
After the tour, I feel like I’ve pretty much checked the boxes on a lot of the history of Kyoto and some of the temples and shrines. Since I hit a few different locations with Greg, I can proceed with my adventures in Kyoto without worrying about missing out on something and as well as that I was given some tips and fun local phrases.
I would definitely recommend this tour to a friend. It was a super awesome time, I saw a local Zen temple that was off-the-beaten-track no one really knew about and feel like I took all sorts of secret little paths with Greg to get to our destinations and see things I definitely wouldn’t have seen if I was on my own.
